Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Medicine Myeloma

About the role

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides comprehensive medical care to patients with myeloma, working both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. This full‑time position supports diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing patient management in a university‑based health system.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complete physical examinations and comprehensive health histories for patients of all ages.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic and therapeutic tests appropriate to patient needs.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatments and monitor their effectiveness.
• Facilitate patient transitions across care settings, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, making referrals and providing education to patients, families, and staff.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant nursing field.
• Valid State of Florida APRN license.
• At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize work under pressure, and communicate effectively in oral and written form.
