Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – PRN

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) on a PRN, as‑needed basis to support multiple locations across Northeast Ohio. This position provides primary and specialty care, health promotion, disease prevention, and acute‑care management within the Cleveland Clinic AtWork program.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order/interpret laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic tests.
• Develop working diagnoses and treatment plans, prescribe medications within licensure, and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in medical rounds, and ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients on disease processes, treatments, and medication safety.
• Assist with discharge planning, quality monitoring, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (with RN license) or Physician Assistant in the applicable state(s).
• Graduate of an accredited APRN or A.R.C.‑approved PA program; Master’s degree required.
• Experience in primary or specialty care; new graduates are not considered.
• Credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee of the relevant hospitals.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification, as applicable.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems.
