Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Neurological Sleep Center

About the role

The Neurological Institute’s Sleep Disorders Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult patients with a variety of sleep disorders. The role includes outpatient clinic visits, inpatient consults, medication management, and patient communication via in‑person, telehealth, phone, and MyChart messaging.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical histories, physical examinations, and order/interpret necessary laboratory, radiology, and specialty tests.
• Provide outpatient clinic care, inpatient consults, and manage medications in accordance with state licensing and Cleveland Clinic policies.
• Communicate with patients through clinic visits, telehealth, phone calls, and MyChart messaging.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary health‑care team, participate in rounds, and ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients about their conditions, treatments, and medication side effects.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the applicable state(s) with national certification.
• Graduate of an accredited APRN program (MSN required) or an A.R.C.‑approved PA program with a master’s degree.
• Basic Life Support certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation may be required based on work setting.
• Prior experience in Sleep Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, or Cardiology preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including four 10‑hour or five 8‑hour shifts, with potential Saturday and extended evening clinics.
