Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Inpatient Urology

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Inpatient Urology team. The APP will provide comprehensive care to complex urologic patients across inpatient and outpatient settings, working four 10‑hour days with no call, weekends, or holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily hospital rounds, consults, and manage discharges for inpatient urology patients.
• Provide occasional coverage for the Same Day Access outpatient clinic.
• Perform thorough histories, physical exams, order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe and monitor medications within state and Cleveland Clinic policies.
• Educate patients on disease processes, treatments, and medication side effects.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team rounds and ensure continuity of care.
• Support quality monitoring, length‑of‑stay management, and discharge planning.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited APRN program (MSN required within 3 years) or an A.R.C.‑approved Physician Assistant program with a master’s degree.
• Current state licensure as an RN and NP, or as a PA, with national certification.
• Basic Life Support certification; ACLS, PALS, NRP, or ATLS as required by the work setting.
• Credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and hospital governing body.
