Advanced Practice Provider (NP, PA, CNS) – Inpatient Solid Tumor Oncology

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Cancer Institute seeks a nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Clinical Nurse Specialist) to join the inpatient Solid Tumor Oncology team. You will provide primary and specialty care to adult patients with solid tumors, collaborating closely with attending physicians and the multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and order appropriate diagnostic tests.
• Manage symptom control, treatment orders, discharge summaries, and coordinate patient flow.
• Participate in daily rounds, educate patients on disease and therapy, and serve as a liaison for continuity of care.
• Contribute to quality monitoring, evidence‑based practice translation, and may assist with research and precepting students.

Required profile

• Current licensure as an NP, PA, or CNS in the applicable state(s) with national certification.
• Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA program; MSN required for APRNs within 3 years of hire.
• Valid DEA registration (if prescribing) and required life‑support certifications (BLS, ACLS, etc.).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Prescribing authority and familiarity with state and Cleveland Clinic prescribing policies.
