Advance Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Cole Eye Retina Surgery

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic’s Cole Eye Retina Service seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join a nationally recognized ophthalmology program. You will independently manage retina clinics, support urgent referrals, and collaborate with retina specialists to deliver high‑acuity patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive histories, physical exams, and order/interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests.
• Provide longitudinal care in retina clinics, including post‑procedure follow‑up and acute retinal triage.
• Prescribe and monitor medications within state licensing and Cleveland Clinic policies.
• Educate patients on disease, treatment options, and medication side effects.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, quality monitoring, and discharge planning.

Required profile

• APRN: MSN required (or PA with master’s degree) from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as RN/NP or PA, with national certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS, PALS, NRP or ATLS as required by setting.
• Credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee.
