Adjunct Nursing Professor

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks an Adjunct Nursing Professor to join its School of Nursing. The position involves teaching and supervising nursing students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings while contributing to curriculum development and professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Create a learning environment that promotes student achievement of knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
• Assist students in developing as nurses and integrating professional values.
• Implement effective clinical and assessment evaluation strategies aligned with course outcomes.
• Apply clinical expertise to prepare graduates for real‑world health‑care environments.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication and collaborative inter‑professional relationships.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD, EdD, or DNP) with at least 3 years of teaching experience in a classroom or clinical setting.
• Minimum 5 years recent clinical experience in a nursing specialty.
• RN licensure in Pennsylvania (or PA state licensure).
• Demonstrated integrity, imagination, and sound judgment in instruction.
• Commitment to lifelong learning and respect for students.

Required skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of FERPA regulations.
• Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) preferred.
• National League for Nursing (NLN) certification within 2 years preferred.
