Adjunct Instructor of Psychology (Part‑time)

About the role

The Department of Health and Behavioral Sciences at Texas A&M University‑San Antonio seeks a part‑time Adjunct Instructor of Psychology to begin in Fall 2026. The instructor will teach undergraduate courses such as Research Methods and Statistics, Writing for Psychology, The Psychology Major, and additional classes as departmental needs arise.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in‑person lectures, labs, and discussion sections for assigned psychology courses.
• Develop course materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with evidence‑driven teaching practices.
• Provide timely feedback and support to a diverse student body, including multicultural and commuter students.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of curriculum.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college or university level.
• Broad training in psychology and familiarity with research methods.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with faculty and staff.
