About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member on an hourly basis to deliver adult education courses. This position focuses on teaching reading, math, science, social studies, and language skills to adult learners, primarily through online instruction.
Key responsibilities
- Identify individual student goals using pre‑assessment data.
- Develop and deliver online lessons aligned with standards‑based instruction.
- Create individualized education plans and conduct post‑tests for each participant.
- Track and submit weekly attendance and student performance data.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate diverse learner needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the institution.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited post‑secondary institution.
- Three to five years of paid teaching experience in K‑12 or adult education.
- Strong understanding of standards‑based classroom practices.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, differentiated instruction, and assessment.
- Ability to meet weekly reporting deadlines and attend staff development sessions.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
