Adjunct Faculty – Anatomy/Physiology/Biology

About the role

The State of Georgia seeks qualified part‑time adjunct faculty to teach anatomy, physiology, and biology courses. This non‑benefited, FLSA‑exempt position reports to the Division Chair of Math & Sciences and may be delivered in face‑to‑face or hybrid formats.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials for assigned courses (35%).
• Develop program outlines, goals, and objectives (10%).
• Evaluate student progress and provide feedback (20%).
• Request and maintain classroom supplies and equipment (1%).
• Stay current with disciplinary trends through professional development (4%).
• Ensure safety and security in training areas (10%).
• Collaborate with students, staff, and other educators on instructional matters (1%).
• Demonstrate high effort, trustworthiness, and adherence to departmental policies (14%).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Doctorate or Master’s degree in a science or related field, or a Master’s with at least 18 semester hours/30 quarter hours in the discipline.
• Preferred: coursework in anatomy and physiology and prior post‑secondary teaching experience in those subjects.
