Instructor – Clinical Coordinator, Cardiovascular Technology

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Gwinnett Technical College, seeks an experienced professional to serve as Instructor and Clinical Coordinator for Cardiovascular Technology. The role involves delivering classroom, lab, and clinical instruction for accredited Cardiovascular Technology and Echocardiography programs while ensuring compliance with state, national, and accreditation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and deliver classroom, lab, and clinical instruction for Cardiovascular Technology and Echocardiography courses.
• Develop and maintain program curricula, syllabi, and accreditation documentation.
• Evaluate student progress, manage supplies and equipment budgets, and ensure safety standards in training areas.
• Participate in recruitment, retention, job placement, and community outreach activities.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a related field and at least two years of experience as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiovascular Diagnostic Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
• Experience with JRC‑CVT accreditation and curriculum development preferred; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to teach face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online courses and to collaborate with faculty, staff, and students.

Required skills

• RCIS, RDCS or RCS certification.
• Curriculum development and online instructional technology proficiency.
• Computer literacy with common software applications.
