About the role
The State of Georgia, through Augusta Technical College, seeks an Adjunct Adult Education Instructor to deliver hybrid morning classes. You will teach a range of subjects to adult learners, both online and on‑site, helping them achieve personalized learning goals.
Key responsibilities
- Identify student goals using pre‑assessment data.
- Deliver face‑to‑face and virtual instruction in reading, math, science, social studies, and language skills.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote higher‑order thinking.
- Create individualized education plans and conduct post‑tests.
- Submit weekly attendance and monitor student progress.
- Maintain flexibility to accommodate student schedules.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Availability to teach Monday‑Thursday, 8 am‑1 pm, both online and in‑person.
- Ability to be on campus at least twice per week and attend staff meetings and training.
- Preferred: 3‑5 years of paid teaching experience in K‑12 or adult education.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
