Accreditation Specialist

About the role

Centene is seeking an Accreditation Specialist to join its Medical Management/Health Services team. The professional will drive performance‑improvement initiatives, ensure accreditation readiness, and support NCQA and HEDIS reporting for a member base of 28 million.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead performance‑improvement projects that enhance clinical quality and measure outcomes.
• Design and maintain the accreditation readiness schedule and related policies.
• Coordinate delegation oversight mechanisms and act as liaison with corporate oversight.
• Create, deliver, and manage training programs for the plan, provider network, and delegated vendors on NCQA and HEDIS requirements.
• Develop QI, NCQA, and HEDIS projects with delegated vendors to support accreditation maintenance and reporting.
• Manage NCQA and HEDIS work‑plan activities and assist with delegation oversight audits.
• Coordinate corrective‑action plans to ensure compliance with state, federal, contract, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of experience in quality improvement, HEDIS, and/or NCQA.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to work remotely within the continental United States, preferably aligned with Eastern Standard Time.
