Accountant / Financial Controller – CPA/CA, Oracle Fusion

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant/Financial Controller for an immediate 4‑month contract (with potential extension) based onsite in San Jose, CA. The role requires a CPA or CA qualification and hands‑on experience with Oracle Fusion ERP.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, post and review journal entries, and support month‑end close activities.
• Perform fixed‑asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation and amortization.
• Execute accounting book cleanup, remediation, and variance analysis.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, inter‑company accounting, and other periodic reconciliations.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional and client teams to ensure timely execution of financial reporting.
• Support the financial close process, consolidate data in Oracle Fusion, and produce final balance‑sheet reports.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA, CA or MBA preferred.
• 8–10 years of Record‑to‑Report experience, preferably in a shared‑service or BPO environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience reporting for US‑based clients.
• Proven ability to deliver high‑quality work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
