About the role
Join the Cardiology team in Danvers, MA as an Access & Pump Engineering Co‑op, contributing to the development and testing of medical access devices.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility testing, including part inspection, root cause investigations, fixture development, component prototyping, mechanical and thrombus loop testing.
- Prototype devices using rapid manufacturing methods or secondary operations on procured subcomponents.
- Design and manufacture independent fixtures and validate test methods.
- Execute prototype evaluations for usability, hemostasis, insertion forces, and thrombus mitigation.
- Perform statistical analysis of test data against historic baselines.
Required profile
- Student pursuing a Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering degree.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship.
Required skills
- Computer‑Aided Design (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience with rapid prototype manufacturing.
- Statistical analysis and experimental design.
- Root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving.
- Knowledge of mechanics and fluid flow.
