Access Coordinator II – Orthopedics/HSC/Therapy

About the role

The Access Coordinator II supports the Orthopedics, Health Services Center, and Therapy departments by managing patient access processes, ensuring accurate documentation, and facilitating smooth clinical workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and authorizations across orthopedics, HSC, and therapy services.
• Verify insurance eligibility, collect necessary documentation, and resolve access barriers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date patient records in the electronic health system.
• Communicate with clinical staff, patients, and external providers to ensure timely care delivery.
• Generate reports on access metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior experience in a healthcare access, scheduling, or administrative role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic health record or access management systems (e.g., Workday).
