AC Technician – Brooklyn & Bronx

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable vehicular AC Technician to join our team in New York. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems on buses and fleet vehicles while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot leaks, electrical faults, and component failures using specialized gauges and scanners.
• Replace compressors, condensers, evaporators, and expansion valves; perform refrigerant recoveries and system recharges.
• Safely handle and dispose of refrigerants in compliance with EPA Section 609 regulations.

Required profile

• EPA 609 certification (required); ASE certification (preferred).
• 1–3 years of automotive HVAC repair experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight engine compartments.

Required skills

• Diagnostic tools proficiency and schematic reading.
• Mechanical repair of automotive climate control systems.
• Refrigerant handling and EPA‑compliant disposal.
