3rd Shift Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor on the 3rd shift ensures all maintenance activities support efficient plant operations, covering manufacturing, processing, packaging and utilities. The role mentors the maintenance and operations teams in loss elimination, risk management and life‑cycle asset management while maintaining compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Guide the factory to reduce technical stoppages and prioritize high‑impact equipment.
• Monitor equipment trends to minimize planned and unplanned downtime.
• Develop and track key performance indicators aligned with Best Maintenance Practices.
• Plan and execute repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance on time.
• Own job planning, material and service validation for accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead documentation of equipment history, damage codes and root‑cause analysis.
• Train and develop a network of factory subject‑matter experts for the NCE Reliability program.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, production and external partners to meet customer needs.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years experience in a manufacturing environment with production equipment maintenance.
• Direct experience managing mechanics and knowledge of utilities/facility equipment preferred.
• Strong leadership ability to motivate, develop and evaluate team members.
• Results‑focused mindset with proactive partnership across functions.

Required skills

• TPM/PM Pillar tools including breakdown analysis and reliability‑centered maintenance.
• Predictive maintenance technologies such as infrared, ultrasonic and vibration analysis.
• Understanding of food‑safety regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo) and data analysis for trends.
• Knowledge of maintenance cost drivers in manufacturing.
