Waste Analyst – Data & Reporting

About the role

The Waste Analyst supports Greystar’s Advantage Waste Solutions program by turning large data sets into actionable insights that improve service performance, contract compliance, and operational consistency across a national multifamily portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, consolidate, and standardize data from invoices, hauler reports, vendor systems, and internal sources.
• Maintain data integrity through validation, reconciliation, and documentation of assumptions.
• Build and maintain repeatable processes for monthly data refreshes, exception handling, and quality‑assurance checks.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and portfolio‑level reporting tools using Excel and Power BI.
• Conduct trend, variance, and cost analysis to identify performance improvements and savings opportunities.
• Own monthly supplier reporting workflows, manage issue logs, and track resolution with internal teams and national vendors.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience handling large data sets.
• Detail‑oriented approach to data validation and documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders, national vendors, and on‑site property teams.
• Hands‑on attitude for project coordination and operational execution within a waste services environment.
