Part‑Time Water Sciences Operations & Dive Technician

About the role

This part‑time position supports the Water Sciences program at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa on O'ahu. You will operate water‑treatment systems, monitor and clean aquatic animal habitats, and assist with guest dive programs while ensuring strict water‑quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water‑treatment equipment and control systems.
• Perform routine water‑quality analyses and component testing.
• Dive to clean animal habitats, remove debris and maintain equipment pads.
• Support animal‑program dive activities, including guest programs that may involve video or photography.
• Assist with basic animal husbandry tasks such as food preparation, feeding programs, and habitat clean‑up.
• Document data, troubleshoot system issues, and collaborate with husbandry and maintenance teams.

Required profile

• Knowledge of basic chemistry, biology and physics concepts.
• Proficiency with PC‑based software, especially Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and maintain excellent attendance.
• Strong record‑keeping and documentation skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset with good interpersonal communication.
