Viticulturist / Technician – Napa Valley Vineyard

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Viticulturist/Technician to support our certified organic and sustainable viticulture programs at the Robert Mondavi Winery vineyards in Oakville, Napa Valley. Reporting to the Vineyard Manager, you will work closely with the Viticulture and Operations teams to ensure high‑quality grape production from soil to glass.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and maintain viticulture data from the vineyards.
• Interpret data together with the vineyard management team to guide pest control, fertilization, irrigation, and crop estimation.
• Support sustainability, organic certification, and other compliance programs.
• Attend viticulture seminars and continuing‑education events to stay current on best practices.
• Promote and uphold a culture of health and safety on the vineyard.

Required profile

• Ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime, especially during summer and harvest.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Independent worker with excellent organizational abilities.
• BS degree in an agricultural‑related field and a valid driver’s license.
• Physical capability to work outdoors in varying weather, lift up to 55 lb, and navigate uneven terrain.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic GIS knowledge for mapping vineyard blocks.
• Familiarity with QAL or PCA data analysis methods (preferred).
