About the role

The Vision Center Manager leads the daily operations of an optical retail location, ensuring a high‑quality customer experience while driving sales and profitability. This role combines retail management, community outreach, and optical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales by optimizing merchandise presentation, pricing, signage, and inventory levels.
• Develop and manage budgets, sales forecasts, and economic trend analyses.
• Provide coaching and direction to associates on customer service standards and complaint resolution.
• Oversee compliance with company policies, legal regulations, asset protection, and safety procedures.
• Lead hiring, training, mentoring, and performance recognition for store staff.
• Consult with members on eyewear selection, perform measurements, verify prescriptions, and conduct minor frame repairs.
• Maintain optical equipment and ensure confidentiality of member information.
• Coordinate community outreach programs and foster positive stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a retail or optical store with a focus on sales performance.
• Strong leadership and people‑development skills.
• Excellent understanding of optical products, measurements, and prescription verification.
• Ability to analyze financial data, create forecasts, and manage budgets.
