Area Manager – Floor Operations

About the role

The Area Manager – Floor Operations is responsible for driving performance across a designated floor area within our stores. You will lead a team of associates, ensure operational excellence, and uphold Walmart’s values while delivering a superior customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams both verbally and in writing.
• Implement the business plan for the assigned area by setting goals, managing staffing, scheduling, and coordinating workloads.
• Monitor productivity and quality metrics through regular review and analysis of business reports.
• Maintain safety and quality standards by training associates on logistics, company policies, and procedures.
• Identify and resolve associate, customer, or supplier concerns, escalating when necessary.
• Supervise, develop, and coach associates and leaders, providing feedback and supporting career growth.
• Foster an inclusive culture that respects individuals, encourages collaboration, and recognizes contributions.
• Uphold the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance in all actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail or floor‑area management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to train, develop, and motivate teams.
