About the role
The U.S. Army seeks dedicated Perioperative Nurses to join a highly skilled surgical team. You will provide comprehensive care to service members, veterans, and their families throughout the entire operative process, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and deliver nursing services before, during, and after surgery.
- Supervise patient experience in coordination with the surgical team.
- Provide clinical, administrative, safety, educational, and research support as an officer.
- Participate in training, continued education, seminars, and conferences to stay current with perioperative practices.
- Support humanitarian missions and community health initiatives when serving in the Army Reserve.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an ACEN, CCNE, or NLN‑accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted RN license and successful NCLEX completion.
- At least 1 year of full‑time perioperative nursing experience for Active Duty applicants; minimum 6 months RN experience within the past year for Reserve applicants.
- Completion of the 66E Perioperative Nursing Course or documented equivalent experience.
- U.S. citizenship for Active Duty positions.
