Trial Technician – Carrot & Onion

About the role

We are seeking a Trial Technician specialized in carrot and onion seed trials to join BASF’s Agricultural Solutions team in Pasco, WA. The role is field‑based with remote coordination, supporting product development and crop leads in research‑level yield trials.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Product Development Specialist and Crop Lead in planning and executing carrot and onion field trials.
• Implement trial protocols, monitor plant growth, and maintain trial plots from planting through harvest.
• Collect, manage, and ensure the quality of trial data across all crop stages.
• Support data evaluation, reporting, and presentation of trial outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide agronomic insights and technical support to local sales teams.
• Coordinate trial logistics, including contracts, stakeholder engagement, and field resources.
• Contribute to regional product strategy through data‑driven recommendations.

Required profile

• Experience or education in agricultural science, agronomy, or related field.
• Ability to work independently in a field environment and travel within the Pasco region.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate data collection and reporting.
