Training Room Lead

About the role

The Training Room Lead supports the operation of Hopeworks Camden’s training facility, ensuring a smooth learning environment for youth trainees and interns. Reporting to the Training Room Manager, this role blends technical expertise with trauma-informed coaching to help young adults succeed in high-growth tech careers.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and orient new trainees and interns, fostering an inclusive community.
• Coach interns, monitor their work with trainees, and facilitate effective trainee‑intern relationships.
• Schedule and coordinate training sessions using Google Calendar.
• Assist the Training Room Manager with supervisory sessions and daily progress tracking in Salesforce.
• Deliver technical and professional development workshops on web design, GIS, AI, and related tools.
• Support trainees in mastering core training‑room skills and monitor their progress.
• Perform additional duties as required to maintain the training environment.

Required profile

• Completed Hopeworks technical curriculum (Google Suite, Figma, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, WordPress, Codepen, GIS).
• Strong oral and written communication with a professional demeanor.
• Experience or training in trauma-informed care and ability to relate to youth.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, and comfortable in a fast‑paced, flexible setting.
