Part-time Faculty in Geospatial Sciences (Limited Term)

About the role

Kennesaw State University’s Department of Geography and Anthropology seeks part‑time, limited‑term faculty to teach and support its Geospatial Sciences program. This position is regular (non‑temporary) and will contribute to undergraduate and graduate instruction on campus.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in geospatial technologies, GIS, remote sensing, and related subjects.
• Develop and update course materials, labs, and assessments.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and service activities.
• Engage in scholarly activities or research as appropriate for a limited‑term faculty member.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. or terminal professional degree) in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, GIS, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at the undergraduate or graduate level.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to student‑centered learning.
• Availability to teach on a part‑time schedule during the academic term.
