Technical Program Manager

About the role

We are hiring our first Technical Program Manager to drive execution across Chalk’s most important initiatives. You’ll work directly with the founders, VP of Product, and engineering leads to build and run program‑management systems, processes, and culture for a fast‑moving data platform that powers machine‑learning applications.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of the company’s largest cross‑functional programs, including critical product launches.
• Design and implement program‑management processes that improve decision‑making, collaboration, and measurement across engineering, product, docs, and go‑to‑market teams.
• Maintain timelines, dependencies, and risks for major platform initiatives, surfacing trade‑offs early and driving decisions.
• Run launch readiness activities, coordinating engineering delivery with documentation, marketing, and customer‑facing teams.
• Provide founders and engineering leads with clear visibility into program health, blockers, and outcomes.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 6 years in technical program management.
• Proven track record of shipping complex, multi‑team technical programs from concept to launch.
• Strong technical depth enabling participation in architecture discussions and pressure‑testing engineering plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills that create clarity and secure buy‑in from engineers and executives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
