Tax Consultant – Global Tax Generalist (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Consultant to join our client’s team on a 4‑5 month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role supports global tax leadership by providing research, data analysis, and project‑based assistance across a range of international tax topics. Remote work is acceptable, though candidates based in Houston are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Attend tax leadership meetings, gather information, and produce concise reports.
• Conduct targeted tax research and fact‑finding on global tax issues, organizing supporting documentation.
• Support ad‑hoc and emerging tax initiatives and track action items.
• Leverage SAP S/4HANA to extract data, analyze issues, and assist tax reviews.
• Collaborate with compliance and provision teams to ensure data readiness.
• Focus on special projects and issue‑based work rather than routine service provision.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of experience in tax, senior‑level individual contributor or manager‑equivalent.
• Broad tax generalist background with international exposure.
• Ability to work independently and scale effort over time.
