Systems & Network Engineer

About the role

The Lycée Français de New York is looking for a full‑time Systems & Network Engineer to ensure the reliability, security, and operational excellence of its technology infrastructure. Reporting to the Chief Information and Data Officer, the engineer will work closely with senior IT staff to support the school’s academic and administrative operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Senior Systems Administrator to manage network infrastructure, wireless systems, servers, cloud environments, and storage platforms.
• Maintain high availability and performance of critical systems, including monitoring, maintenance, and health‑check processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, connectivity, and systems issues.
• Document technical configurations, network diagrams, and system procedures accurately.
• Participate in planning, upgrades, deployments, and technology projects.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure continuity and improvements.
• Support the cybersecurity strategy alongside the Senior Data & Cybersecurity Engineer, including identity and access management, multi‑factor authentication, vulnerability monitoring, endpoint protection, and security patching.
• Contribute to incident response, recovery, and remediation activities.
