Systems Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support and enhance our enterprise infrastructure across on‑site and cloud environments in Plattsburg, NY. The role ensures secure, reliable, and efficient systems that keep day‑to‑day business operations running, including technical support for manufacturing and production areas.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee performance, upkeep, and reliability of core infrastructure components across network, server, and cloud environments.
• Configure and support routing, switching, wireless access, firewall protection, and secure remote access solutions.
• Maintain Windows and Linux server environments, handling installation, patching, upgrades, and administration for physical and virtual platforms.
• Administer backup, storage, and recovery solutions to protect business data and improve resilience.
• Apply security standards, manage vulnerabilities, support certificate activities, and enforce compliance‑aligned practices.
• Create and refine automation using scripting tools to reduce manual effort.
• Monitor system health and capacity, investigate issues, and implement improvements.
• Provide infrastructure support for high‑volume printing and labeling technologies used in manufacturing.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third‑party providers while maintaining accurate technical documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in systems administration or related IT operations.
• Hands‑on expertise with Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, and Windows 10.
• Experience supporting enterprise networking, including firewalls, switches, wireless platforms, and remote connectivity.
• Familiarity with virtualization and cloud technologies such as VMware and Azure.
• Background in backup, storage, and disaster recovery processes.
• Ability to support infrastructure in manufacturing or production environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer support skills.
