Strategic Messaging Specialist

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking a senior communications professional to lead the development and implementation of strategic messaging programs that raise the Bank’s visibility and reputation among key audiences. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Messaging, you will shape the institution’s public narrative and ensure consistent messaging across internal and external platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic messaging plans and key messages in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to align communications priorities and maintain consistency across all channels.
• Create communications plans, project timelines, and content calendars for research, engagement, and initiative outreach.
• Write, edit, and review a variety of materials including publications, website content, newsletters, and social media posts.
• Support subject‑matter experts in translating complex research into clear, accessible campaigns for digital and print media.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, education or a related field.
• Minimum seven years of professional writing and editing experience, preferably in a senior communications role.
• Demonstrated ability to craft messaging for both print and digital audiences and to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.
