Strategic Finance Lead – Datacenter Initiatives

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Strategic Finance Lead to own the operating P&L for its datacenter infrastructure partnerships. The role partners with infrastructure teams to keep sites on budget, drive down operating costs, and manage financial risk across the datacenter portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial analysis for site‑level optimization initiatives and operating model decisions.
• Handle operational finance requests tied to datacenter partners and live sites.
• Partner with the Datacenter Expansion lead on deal‑to‑operations handoffs, ensuring budgets set at signing are operationalized at commissioning.
• Own near‑term forecasts for datacenter spend and run budget‑vs‑actual analyses on projects.
• Serve as the primary finance counterpart to datacenter operating partners.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in strategic finance, infrastructure investment, FP&A, private equity, consulting, or investment banking.
• Experience owning an infrastructure operating P&L and driving cost‑out programs.
• Exceptional analytical ability to synthesize data into insights and build complex financial operating models.
• Comfort working directly with technical operating teams and vendors.
• Strong bias toward action, work ethic, and ability to deliver under tight timelines.
• Excellent relationship‑building, business judgment, process management, and communication skills.
