Staff Thermal Controls Test and Integration Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Controls Test and Integration Engineer to join our Thermal Control Software Development team. You will work on state‑of‑the‑art software for automotive refrigeration, coolant, and HVAC systems, collaborating with firmware developers and systems engineers to deliver high‑performance thermal management solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirements and test coverage development across virtual and physical assets, including SIL, HIL, and vehicle testing.
• Design and document detailed test cases and scripts for validating feature functionality in SIL, HIL, system, and vehicle levels.
• Gather data from CAN, Ethernet, and cloud‑based telemetry to diagnose issues and drive resolution.
• Test and calibrate thermal management features for cabin HVAC, refrigeration, and coolant systems to meet performance, range, NVH, and comfort targets.
• Plan and coordinate test assets, prioritize issues, and collaborate with hardware and software engineers on scalable, testable requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with control systems, preferably automotive or aerospace.
• Strong proficiency in C, C++, Rust, and/or Python.
• Experience with requirements management (Jama, Doors) and issue tracking tools (Jira).
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
