Staff Civil Engineer – Site & Land Development

About the role

Langan is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in Panama City. You will support the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects across mixed‑use, commercial, residential, and institutional sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering and land development projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents such as reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related software.
• Analyze soil composition, terrain, hydrology and topography using maps, drawings, aerial photographs and test data to inform design decisions.
• Recommend innovative approaches to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Apply engineering principles and advanced mathematics to solve project challenges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members on assigned tasks.
• Perform additional duties as requested.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Entry‑level to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Internship or professional experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and good judgment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
