Sr Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

Moog’s Defense Business Unit is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to lead the evaluation and improvement of supplier performance for aerospace and defense products. The role focuses on reducing costs and cycle times through statistical analysis, problem solving, and technical guidance to the Quality team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement receiving inspection plans, including source inspection, ship‑to‑stock, skip‑lot and standard plans.
• Provide statistical expertise for SPC, Design of Experiments, data analysis and capability studies for assigned commodities.
• Collect, analyze and report supplier performance data from internal databases and supplier corrective‑action systems.
• Identify root causes of non‑conformances and drive corrective actions in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
• Deliver technical direction and training to the Quality group on Moog’s Supplier Quality Systems and procedures.
• Travel up to 25 % to supplier sites as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or in a comparable role.
• Experience with inspection planning, supplier evaluations and corrective‑action processes.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25 % of the time.
