Sr. RF Test and Integration Engineer

About the role

Join the joint‑venture team of Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies to develop automated test systems for RF‑enabled electronic control units used in electric vehicles. You will design, build, and deploy test solutions that cover Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, LTE/5G, UWB, NFC and GNSS radios across lab and manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of automated RF test solutions from requirement gathering to deployment at Rivian labs and contract manufacturers.
• Design and build test equipment for conducted and OTA setups, including shielded chambers, RF switch matrices and calibrated cable paths.
• Collaborate with RF, antenna and electronics design teams to define test strategies for TX power, EVM, sensitivity, spurious emissions, throughput, ranging accuracy, TTFF and link robustness.
• Provide system specifications to software and hardware automation teams, covering RF path budgets, calibration methods and fixture designs.
• Develop custom test sequences in Python using the company’s automation framework, ensuring code quality and validation.
• Integrate firmware, hardware and software end‑to‑end, supporting bring‑up of DUT boards and data management platforms.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineer with hands‑on experience in RF test automation for automotive or high‑volume electronics.
• Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with software engineering best practices.
• Ability to work across hardware, firmware and software disciplines and lead projects from concept to production.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the capacity to define test requirements with cross‑functional teams.
