SQL Development Leader – Integrations

About the role

Siepe is seeking a hands‑on SQL development professional to own the technical delivery of its integration layer between Solvas, the Middle Office systems, the client‑facing Portal, and third‑party platforms. The role can be structured as an individual contributor lead or as a manager of a small team, while remaining deeply involved in building reliable data pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers building data integrations and warehouse‑quality pipelines, potentially managing a small team.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of integrations, from scoping and estimation through production support.
• Design, evolve, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that load, normalize, and version data across core systems.
• Define and enforce data consistency, concurrency control, and quality controls such as validation, audit trails, and exception handling.
• Partner with DBAs to tune performance of SQL Server objects and with product teams to translate requirements into delivery plans and SLAs.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with proven technical or people leadership.
• Direct people‑management experience (performance management, work allocation, team development) for manager scope.
• Background in consulting or professional services with accountability for delivery outcomes.
• Strong ownership of estimation accuracy, scheduling, and delivery commitments.

Required skills

• Advanced T‑SQL and SQL Server expertise (stored procedures, functions, indexing, partitioning).
• Experience with data modeling, transformation, and performance optimization for high‑volume OLTP workloads.
• Proficiency in modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and REST‑based APIs.
• Hands‑on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, data lakes, and data observability practices.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled development tools to improve test coverage and cycle time.
