About the role

The Specialist, Legal Services will join Mastercard's Global Business Solutions Center (GBSC) to support the Law and Franchise Integrity team. This role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and managing routine legal agreements and documents using established templates.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and prepare routine legal agreements, contracts, and documents leveraging established templates.
• Compile data related to legal cases or contract preparation, including researching online legal resources and codes.
• Review contractual terms, summarize deal points for attorneys, and maintain/update contract templates under supervision.
• Respond to general correspondence and prepare routine legal documents using templates.
• Utilize the document management system for tracking, compiling, and disseminating information regularly.
• Coordinate training sessions or events conducted by the law department.
• Maintain and update intranet and external sites for specialty areas such as patents.
• Prepare documents and arrange payments for trademark registration maintenance.

Required profile

• Demonstrated talent for contract analysis coupled with advanced data entry skills.
• Proven ability to manage workloads with varying priority and complexity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with legal and business stakeholders.
• Ability to recognize when to escalate issues and when to exercise independent judgment in reviewing contracts.
