Sommelier – Fine Dining Wine Service

About the role

The Sommelier will join the Food & Beverage team at Four Seasons New Orleans, providing an expertly curated wine experience for guests in the fine‑dining outlet Chemin à la Mer. You will act as the wine ambassador, guiding guests through the wine list, recommending pairings, and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an extensive knowledge of French and American wines, as well as global wine trends.
• Advise guests on wine selections and create food‑wine pairing recommendations.
• Assist servers with wine service and follow up with guests to confirm satisfaction.
• Manage weekly and monthly wine inventories for the dining outlet.
• Coordinate with the wine storeroom and restaurant manager to ensure product availability and accuracy.
• Curate and update the wine list to align with seasonal menus and the restaurant’s concept.
• Oversee proper storage, rotation, and presentation of wines and premium beverages.
• Organise and lead wine tastings or pairing events for guests.
