Solutions Architect – Public Sector

About the role

Cohere is seeking a Solutions Architect to drive growth in its Public Sector business. You will act as the trusted technical advisor, shaping solutions that map customer challenges to Cohere’s AI platform while maintaining a required security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions and deep‑dive analyses on customer calls.
• Design and deliver proof‑of‑concepts that showcase the business value of Cohere’s NLP technology.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and partner teams to align offerings with customer needs.
• Document processes and best practices to enable the Solutions Architect team to scale.
• Serve as the voice of the customer, gathering feedback to influence product roadmap.

Required profile

• Active security clearance.
• 5+ years of public‑sector, customer‑facing technical pre‑ and post‑sales experience.
• 2+ years architecting or deploying NLP/AI/LLM solutions.
• Passion for generative AI and strong communication skills across executive and technical audiences.
• High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to implement high‑impact processes.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Jupyter Notebooks.
• Experience with NLP, AI and large language models.
• Kubernetes cluster management (preferred).
• Networking fundamentals – firewalls, DNS, certificate management (preferred).
• Authentication protocols such as SAML and OAuth (preferred).
