Software Test Engineering Co‑op (Beatbox)

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a motivated Software Test Engineering Co‑op to join the Beatbox software team in Danvers. The role offers hands‑on experience with automated testing of medical device software using modern tools and frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts with Pytest and other in‑house tools for end‑to‑end testing.
• Collaborate with developers and QA to design comprehensive test plans and identify, document, and track defects.
• Perform manual and automated testing to verify functionality, performance, and security, and generate test reports with improvement recommendations.

Required profile

• Junior, senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, excellent written and verbal communication, and experience through coursework or personal projects.

Required skills

• Familiarity with automated test frameworks such as Pytest.
• Programming proficiency in at least one language (C, Rust, Python, JavaScript).
• Database knowledge (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL).
• Version control experience, particularly Git.
