Software Engineer – VIE (USA)

About the role

Alta Ares is looking for a motivated Software Engineer on a VIE contract to join its New York office. You will work directly with the core engineering team in Paris while supporting the company’s expansion in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real‑time AI inference, computer‑vision pipelines, sensor‑fusion and ground‑control‑station (GCS) software.
• Write clean, well‑tested production code in Python and/or C++ across backend, embedded or AI/ML layers.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and sprint planning with the Paris engineering team.
• Provide technical support for US client demos, proof‑of‑concept deployments and field activities.
• Act as the technical bridge between the NYC office and the Paris team, ensuring knowledge transfer and alignment.

Required profile

• 0–3 years of experience in software development.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑cultural environment.
• Willingness to travel for client demonstrations and field work in the US.
