Software Engineer – Mid to Senior (Remote)

About the role

Join a fast‑scaling AI‑enabled healthcare technology company and help build the next generation of AI‑powered healthcare solutions. You will work on a 30‑person engineering team, delivering software that supports real healthcare delivery for operations teams, clinicians, and health‑plan partners.

Key responsibilities

• Build applications, APIs, integrations, data workflows, and internal tools that improve healthcare operations.
• Take features from problem definition through implementation, testing, release, and continuous improvement.
• Work with Ruby on Rails, Python, Node.js, and PostgreSQL in a database‑intensive environment.
• Improve performance, data quality, reliability, and production visibility.
• Collaborate with engineers, product partners, and business stakeholders to make practical trade‑offs.
• Use AI coding tools thoughtfully, with strong review and testing.
• For senior engineers, lead larger technical initiatives, guide architecture decisions, and raise engineering standards while staying hands‑on.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Production experience with Ruby on Rails or Python and ability to work across the stack.
• Strong SQL and hands‑on PostgreSQL experience.
• Solid fundamentals in data structures, API design, testing, debugging, and system performance.
• Experience delivering web applications or full‑stack features.
• Good habits around Git, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Clear communication, curiosity, and ability to adapt to changing requirements.
• Practical experience with AI‑assisted development and sound judgment to validate outputs.
