Software Engineer III – Java & AWS

About the role

Join the Trust & Security Technology division at JPMorgan Chase as a Software Engineer III. You will work on secure, stable, and scalable technology products that support the firm’s business objectives, collaborating within an agile team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot Java‑based software solutions, applying innovative approaches to complex problems.
• Create high‑quality, secure production code and maintain synchronous algorithms.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met.
• Analyze large data sets, develop visualizations, and generate reports to drive continuous improvement.
• Identify hidden issues and patterns in data, using insights to improve code hygiene and system architecture.
• Contribute to engineering communities of practice and promote emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience with Java in a corporate environment.
• Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies (CI/CD, resiliency, security).
• Experience working with cloud platforms and modern development tools.
