Software Engineer, Graphics & Camera Pipeline

About the role

Rivet is building integrated task systems for industrial and defense workforces. The Software Engineer, Graphics & Camera Pipeline will own the end‑to‑end camera and graphics stack that powers low‑latency mixed‑reality experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full camera and graphics pipeline from sensor input to rendered output, ensuring low‑latency reprojection.
• Develop and optimise data paths across Linux and Android system layers (kernel, HAL, system services).
• Interface directly with hardware (cameras, GPUs, sensors) to bring up and debug drivers and data flows.
• Design efficient memory, buffer and synchronisation strategies such as zero‑copy pipelines, DMA and GPU interop.
• Debug and resolve complex system‑level issues across firmware, OS and application layers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in system software, graphics or camera pipelines.
• Strong background with Linux and/or Android at the system level (kernel, drivers, HALs, AOSP).
• Deep understanding of camera systems, ISP pipelines and frame timing.
• Experience with graphics and GPU pipelines (OpenGL, Vulkan, CUDA or similar).
• Proven ability to debug across the stack from firmware to user‑space.

• Camera system knowledge, ISP pipelines, calibration.
• Graphics APIs: OpenGL, Vulkan, CUDA.
• Real‑time / low‑latency profiling and performance optimisation.
• Zero‑copy architectures, DMA, GPU‑CPU synchronisation, MIPI standards.
