Software Engineer – Datapath (Cloud Automation)

About the role

Join Alkira’s Playbooks & Orchestration team to turn customer intent into live, multi‑cloud networks automatically. You will work on the core automation that provisions and manages networking resources across AWS, Azure and GCP, ensuring reliable connectivity for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Write Ansible playbooks that provision VPCs, VNets, subnets, tunnels, NAT, routing and security policies across cloud providers.
• Develop Go‑based task engines that apply configurations to Cloud Exchange Point (CXP) nodes at scale.
• Integrate new virtual network functions (VNFs) and expand service capabilities.
• Build and maintain Python tooling and CLI utilities for inspecting, configuring and debugging the networking stack.
• Extend configuration and task models that translate provisioning requests into node‑level commands.
• Investigate and resolve production provisioning issues, collaborating with Routing, Data Path and Backend teams.

Required profile

• Solid software engineering fundamentals with a curiosity for networking and cloud technologies.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, attending onsite days in San Jose.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to grow across multiple technology layers.
