About the role

Genius AI is building an agentic workforce of AI systems that act on behalf of appointment‑based business owners. As a Software Engineer you will help design and deliver the next generation of AI‑driven features and the platform that powers them, working in a hybrid environment at our New York headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and ship AI‑powered features that create new capabilities for service businesses.
• Build and maintain large‑scale, high‑reliability systems that process billions in payments and serve over 120,000 businesses.
• Leverage AI to assist in code design, debugging, writing, and review, raising the quality bar for the team.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery from technical design through production, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Develop platform infrastructure that enables product teams to move faster, focusing on scalability and extensibility.
• Identify and advocate for faster, better architectural solutions and drive their implementation.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
• Hands‑on experience using AI to architect, debug, write, and review code, and shipping AI‑enhanced features.
• Ability to move quickly, make decisions with incomplete information, and iterate on real implementations.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and willingness to challenge existing processes.
