Software Development Engineer – AWS Resource Access Manager

About the role

Amazon Web Services is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Resource Access Manager (RAM) team. You will help build the next generation of resource‑sharing infrastructure that enables customers to securely share AWS resources across accounts and organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate highly available, fault‑tolerant distributed systems for resource sharing.
• Create intuitive APIs that simplify complex sharing workflows for customers.
• Implement event‑driven architectures, eventual‑consistency mechanisms, and high‑throughput indexing pipelines.
• Ensure operational excellence through monitoring, alarms, and automated testing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evolve RAM for new resource types and scaling demands.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new or existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one major language.
• Hands‑on experience with the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.

• Proficiency in a programming language such as Java, C++, or Python.
