Shift Lead

About the role

Join Convive Brands as a Shift Lead at one of our Le Pain Quotidien locations. You will be the front‑line host for guests, ensuring a warm, efficient dining experience while supporting the team throughout the shift.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive service to guests from arrival to departure.
• Take food and beverage orders, enter them accurately into the POS, and coordinate with the kitchen.
• Anticipate guest needs, note preferences, and handle any issues with empathy.
• Maintain full knowledge of pastry, bread, kitchen, beverage, and retail items.
• Prepare drinks for the dining room as needed.
• Complete opening, mid‑shift, and closing procedures, including daily checklists and side‑work.
• Manage cash and receipts according to cash‑handling policy.
• Keep the restaurant clean and organized, following cleaning checklists.
• Assist with patio setup and maintenance when applicable.

Required profile

• 3–6 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems; familiarity with Toast is a plus.
• Flexibility in scheduling preferred.
• Ability to be cross‑trained in all dining‑room and retail areas.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
